ቀራንዮ መድሐኒዓለም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተክርትያን በኦሬንጅ ካውንቲ አመሠራረት

  በሰሜን አሜሪካ ደቡብ ካሊፎርኒያ በምትገኘው በኦሬንጅ ካውንቲ ውስጥ፣ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን የማቋቋሙ ሀሳብ፣ ደስታና ሀዘንን አብረው የሚካፈሉብት የመረዳጃ ማህበር በነበራቸው 18 የካውንቲው ነዋሪዎች፣ ሐምሌ ፲ ቀን ፪ሺህ፫ (July 17, 2011) ተጠነሰሰ፡፡ ይህንኑ ሀሳብ ከዳር የሚያደርሱ አምስት አባለት ያሉት የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ ተመሠረተ። ከዛም ኮሚቴው ሊቀመንበር፣ ጸሐፊና ገንዘብ ያዥ በመምረጥ ወደ ተግባር የሚያሻግረውን ረጅም ጉዞ “ሀ” ተብሎ ጀመረ።

  ኮሚቴው፣ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የማቋቋሙ ስራ ያለ ካህን መከናወን እንደማይቻል በመገንዘብ፣ በወቅቱ የቅድስት ማርያም ቤተክርስቲያን አስተዳዳሪ የነበሩትን የአባ ፅጌ ድንግል ደገፋውን የአሁኑን የሰሜን ካሊፎርኒያ ኔቫዳና አሪዞና ሀገረ ስብከት ሊቀጳጳስ የብፁዕ አቡነ ቴዎፍሎስን እገዛ ጠየቀ።

  በዚሁ መሠረት አቡነ ቴዎፍሎስ ወደ ኦሬንጅ ካውንቲ በመምጣት ስለ ኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋኅዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አመሠራረት ሂደትና ሕግጋት፣ እንዲሁም ቤተ ክርስቲያን ለማቋቋም መሟላት ስላለባቸው መስፈርቶች ለኮሚቴው አባላት በዘርዝር አስረዱ። ኮሚቴው ባቀረበላቸው ጥያቄም፣ በመስከረም ፮ ቀን ፪ሺህ፬ ዓ.ም. (September 17, 2011) ለኦሬንጅ ካውንቲ የኦርቶዶክስ እምነት ተከታዮች ስለ ምሥረታው ሂደት በሰፊው ካስተማሩ በኋላ፣ ዕጣ ተጥሎ የመድኃኔዓለም የፅዋ ማህበር ተመሰረተ።

  ለመድኃኔዓለም ምሥረታ ያላሰለሰ ጥረታቸውን የተያያዙት አቡነ ቴዎፍሎስ፣ የኪራይ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አፈላልገው ካገኙ በኋላ፣ ጥር ፳፮ ቀን ፪ሺህ፬ ዓ.ም. (February 4, 2012) የመድኃኔዓለም አገልግሎት በፕላሴንሺያ ከተማ በ451 West Madison Ave ላይ በሚገኘው Holy Cross Melikite ቤተ ክርስቲያን በታላቅ ሥነ ሥርዓት ተጀመረ።

  የፅዋ ማህበሩ፣ ለአመት ከሰባት ወራት ያህል ምዕመናኑን በየወሩ በማሰባሰብ በመንፈሳዊ ህይወት ሲያንጽ ቆይቶ፣ ግንቦት ፳ ቀን ፪ሺህ፭ ዓ.ም. (May 28, 2013) ከቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ እውቅና አገኘ፡፡ ከዚያም ሚያዚያ ፲፪ ቀን ፪ሺህ፭ ዓ.ም. (April 20, 2013)፣ የቴክሳስ ሀገረ ስብከት ሊቀጳጳስ ብፁዕ አቡነ ዮሐንስ በተገኙበት ሥነ ሥርዓት፣ የቅዳሴ ቤቱ፣ ቀራንዮ የመድኃኔዓለም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተብሎ ተሰየመ። ቀራንዮ የመድኃኔዓለምም፣ በኦሬንጅ ካውንቲ የመጀመሪያው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሆነ። ይህን ተከትሎም፣ በየሁለት ሳምንቱ ቅዳሜ አቡነ ቴዎፍሎስ ከቅድስት ማርያም፣ አባ ላዕከ ከድንግል ማርያም በየተራ በመምጣት መደበኛ አገልግሎት መስጠት ጀመሩ፡፡ በተጨማሪም መምህር ተከስተ አድማሱ፣ ቀሲስ ዮናስ ገብሩ፣ ዲያቆን ዜና ብሉይ፣ ቀሲስ ውድነህ፣ መጋቢ ይሄይስና ዲያቆን ሀይሌ በየተራ እየመጡ አገልግለዋል፡፡

  የምዕመናኑን ፍላጎት በበለጠ ለማሟላት በሚል፣ በየሁለት ሳምንት ይሰጥ የነበረው አገልግሎት፣ በየሳምንቱ እንዲሆን ተወስኖ፤ በአባ ሙሴ ገብረሥላሴ አስተዳዳሪነት፤ ከመጋቢት 3, 2007 ዓም (March 12, 2016) አንስቶ ቀራንዮ የመድኃኔዓለም ሳምንታዊ አገልግሎት መሰጠት ተጀመረ። ከዚያም፣ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ የመተዳደሪያ ደንብ በምዕመናኑ በማጽደቅና የሰበካ ጉባኤ በመምረጥ፣ በተደራጀ መልኩ በመንቀሳቀስ የራሱ የሆነ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንዲኖረው በአሁኑ ወቅት ከፍተኛ ጥረት በማድረግ ላይ ይገኛል።

  የቀራንዮ የመድኃኔዓለም ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ከምስረታው አንስቶ አሁን ካለበት ደረጃ ለማድረስ፤ የቤተክርስቲያኑ አባቶች፣ ምዕመኑና በተለያዩ ጊዜያት ያገለገሉና በማገልገል ላይ ያሉ የሰበካ ጉባኤ አባላት ከፍተኛውን ድርሻ አበርክተዋል፤ እያበረከቱም ይገኛሉ፡፡ ከዚህ በተጨማሪም ድጋፋቸው ላልተለየንን ለሎስ አንጀለስ ለሚገኙት ለድንግል ማርያምና ለቅድስት ማርያም እንዲሁም ለሳንዲየጎው ቅዱስ ገብርኤል ካህናትና ምዕመናን ልባዊ ምስጋና ለማቅረብ እንወዳለን።

  ሁሉን ላደረገ ለልዑል እግዚአብሔር ክብር ምስጋና ይሁን፤ ለዘለዓለሙ አሜን።

Mission & Objectives

 

The primary mission and objectives of the Church are as follows:

  • To maintain the belief and tenets of the Ethiopian Orthodox faithful who have recently emigrated and now reside in Southern California, particularly in the Orange County Area; to evangelize the new generation born in this country; and to promote and enhance the Mission and Outreach of the Church to all who wish to be enlightened; to sustain, develop and deliver an effective and far‐reaching educational system for all ages and levels, which reflects the apostolic teaching and the Patristic traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church;

  • To be a humble and hard‐working example of service to the community which fosters love and unity among worshipers; to forge a pro‐active and positive balance between the desire to cherish Ethiopian culture, traditions and nationalism, and the rapid influence of culture and modernity in the United States; and to turn the hearts and minds of all to the loving mercy of the Almighty GOD through daily prayer and worship according to the liturgy of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

Interpretation

Unless otherwise stated in these Bylaws, the ensuing words and phrases are defined as follows:

  • The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church means the Church that follows the teachings and faith of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

  • Church Administrator means the head of the Council of Clergy.

  • The Parish Council means the Council whose members are elected by the General Assembly of Parishioners to administer and oversee the activities of the Parish for three years.

  • The Church Chairperson hereinafter referred to as “Chairperson” means the President of the Parish Council.

  • Sub‐committee means a committee chosen among parish members to voluntarily serve the Church in various services.

  • Tithe means ten percent (10%) of income paid to the Church for the glory of God as commanded by the Holy Scripture and Church guidelines.

  • “Silet” means a voluntary gift given to God for answering to prayers.

  • Property of the Church means cash, check, promissory note, and other forms of financial documents as well as land, buildings (tangible and non‐tangible).

  • Receipts mean a written document that has two copies, (one for the payer and the other for the Church) upon receiving money or property.
